You can realize that it would be time-consuming and inconvenient when you repeatedly enter both short id and password after you lock your PC when unattended. Now, you don’t have to enter your short id upon unlocking the Windows by following simple steps as below:

  1. Click Start and select Run
  2. Type secpol.msc and click OK
  3. In the Local Security Policy window, Expand Local Policies and select Security Options. Change the options as shown in the screen shots below:


Now you are good to go. Please give it a try and you will see the difference. Note: you can press the combination keys (Windows + L) to quickly lock your PC.
